spacer PRI on WCCO spacer

WCCO's week long series, Inside Autism, focused on the issues facing individuals with autism and their families. The piece on Tuesday, July 22 looked at adults with autism in the workforce. As part of this piece, WCCO visited PRI job site Bull Run Roasters as an example of successful community employment. They interviewed the owner of Bull Run Roasters, Greg Hoyt, a strong supporter of PRI's. The story featured Alex, a Bull Run employee supported by a PRI job coach.

In addition to the feature story, Dan Reed, PRI's Director of Marketing and Development, appeared on WCCO's morning news program for a further discussion on autism and the supports PRI provides, including the PARTnerships Arts Program.

WCCO also presented a third piece featuring the PARTnerships Art Program including interviews with two of our artists.

  My Voice, My Vote
Partnership Resources is working on a collaborative project with the University of Minnesota Institute on Community Integration (ICI), the University of Minnesota¹s Center for Democracy and Citizenship at the Humphrey Institute for Public Affairs, and Minneapolis Public Schools to produce a training video on the use of accessible voting machines. This project is funded through a grant the ICI received from the Charles and Mabel Williams fund of the Minneapolis Foundation. The Minnesota Secretary of State's office is also providing assistance to the project. The resources developed will be available starting in September.
