Check out the stories below to learn how PRI’s transportation options
drive clients to an abundance of experience in the community:
Dawn’s Story
Dawn attends day services and works in the community at JUUT Salon Spa Wayzata. Because of mandated reimbursement regulations, the expense of Dawn’s ride to work is not covered and she needs extra support that day services offer to prepare her for a successful day at work. PRI worked with Dawn so she can purchase an additional ride so she can safely get to job on time. Your Give to the max Day support would provide Dawn with that essential additional ride so she gets the support she needs to maintain the job she loves!
Dupree’s Story
Dupree who has participated in day and employment services for 12 years, is constantly driven to achieving new goals and making a difference in the community. Growing in skills and strengths, Dupree is a strong advocate not just for himself, but for the disability community. He relies on PRI’s transportation options to get to his job at the University of Minnesota’s Institute for Community Integration, attending rallies like Disability Services Day at the Capitol where he was selected to introduce Governor Tim Walz, flexing his artistic side through his music and making a film with PRI! Your Give to the Max Day support ensures Dupree can make a difference in our community!
Boy Band in a Haunted House
Recently, clients at PRI’s Minneapolis Day services had the idea to make a film! So they did! They wrote, directed, acted, and created the music for “Boy Band in a Haunted House!” Thanks to PRI’s flexible transportation options, ten clients had the opportunity to work with professional film producers at the most amazing locations in the community to bring their dream to life! Your Give to the Max Day support dismantles transportation barriers to community arts experiences!
