Thank you for your incredible support during the last two years! Your partnership means so much to PRI and the individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) we serve. You helped us face challenges never encountered before. As the impacts of the pandemic linger, PRI still needs your support as we focus on continued rebuilding and reaching all clients, including those who are still waiting to return to services.
PRI’s 2022 fundraising campaign, My Voice! My Choice! promotes empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) to thrive in an inclusive community where their voices matter, and choices are abundant. This vision becomes a reality when individuals with IDD are seen, heard, and empowered to advocate for what they choose for their lives. Despite positive progress, individuals with IDD still face barriers to being heard and included. The pandemic exasperated these challenges. At PRI, our services support individuals in overcoming barriers, exploring their interests, discovering and raising their voices, and making choices about how they want to participate in the community.
But we can’t do this without you. To close our funding gap, we aim to raise $100,000 this year. Your contribution to My Voice! My Choice! helps PRI reach all clients to discover their unique voices and make choices about how they want to participate in community life. Together with your partnership, we will raise awareness about the strengths of people with disabilities, help employers provide an equitable workplace, and ensure that people with disabilities are included in community opportunities.
Your contribution directly impacts individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities by:
- Removing barriers to community-based experiences, including reliable and safe transportation, so clients can access social, civic and health inclusion.
- Getting clients back to work in the community so they experience the satisfaction of earning a paycheck and enjoying being part of a team.
- Recruiting, retaining, and training employees, essential to the support of individuals with disabilities.
Please join in and support these powerful voices making choices during 2022.
