Every day at Partnership Resources, Inc. (PRI), our work is guided by the vision that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities thrive in inclusive communities. Built upon PRI’s foundational belief that everyone has unique gifts to contribute to the community, fulfilling this vision makes the community a better place for all of us. As one of our valued partners, read on to explore the impact and learn how you can support PRI in this vision.

With the support of PRI and our partners, the individuals we proudly serve overcome barriers, explore interests, amplify their voices, and make choices about how they want to participate in the community. Throughout the month of December, watch for several emails highlighting impacts from 2023. Today, we share a small portion of Dupree’s extraordinary journey.

During his past 12 years at PRI, Dupree chose to participate in both day and employment services, exploring his interests and goals, developing skills needed to achieve those goals, and making choices about how he wants to participate in the community. Growing in skills and strengths, today Dupree is a strong advocate not just for himself, but for others. Recently, he decided to seek new employment where he could use his advocacy skills on behalf of the disability community. Knowing of their long history of positive impact, Dupree sought a position with the University of Minnesota’s Institute for Community Integration. He was hired on the spot! Dupree says, “It’s like a dream come true because I am doing something I am passionate about!”

This year, we are grateful for the many gifts everyone contributes that impact all of us, especially those with disabilities whom we support. Together with partners like you, our impact includes:

• Welcoming back more clients, now serving 236 individuals
• Relaunching PRI’s arts program, including the reopening of the See Me Gallery
• Supporting 108 individuals employed in the community with 57 business partners

Now, it is our turn to share our gifts to help each person we support to learn, grow, advocate, and increase their independence in community life. Making a year-end gift today supports raising awareness, shaping opportunities, and ensuring individuals with disabilities have abundant choices within community life.
